I made a lot of friends at the Louvre ...

...and we're now exchanging emails!

Peter's Place

Peter really loves this spot on the hill looking west. He took Naomi and I there in 1985 when we visited him at Longford Castle. This time we didn't need Wellington boots -- Peter now travels by Toyota to these remote spots. Ha!

Peter Poodle

It had been quite a long time since I had met up with Peter Pleydell-Bouverie, my former colleague at Grieveson Grant. We had met from time to time for dinner in London or Tokyo in the early 90's, but since he quit Fidelity and moved down to Wiltshire we have only been exchanging Christmas cards. Since I had the whole family over for a week I decided it was time to go down to Wiltshire again and introduce the families. Peter's place is also close to Stonehenge so we got some quality sightseeing in to. Peter's father, the Earl of Radnor, was out for the weekend, so we didn't get a chance to step inside the family castle. But we did see a bit of the estate, including Peter's favorite spot where you can't see a single building as far as you look! Photo location is just south of Salisbury on the Avon River.

I saw Stonehenge on a partly cloudy day!

From what I can gather, nobody knows anything about these rocks purpose!

Did we go to the top of the Eiffel Tower today?

The answer is yes! Plus we took the Batobus from the Eiffel Tour to Notre Dame and then back to the Champs Elysees dock to walk up George V to the Arc de Triomph. We finished off with dinner in an Italian restaurant where the waiter became a close friend! Ha!
